National Chocolate Covered Anything Day...

I'm joining Marsha from Marsha's Kitchen in the "National Chocolate Covered Anything Day". As IF we need an excuse to make something chocolate related..but it is nice they have a special day dedicated for it!

Time has become a rare commodity for me this Holiday season for some reason so I didn't get done as much as I would have liked... did manage to make these little poppy seed cake "trees", covered them in white and dark chocolate and used sanding sugars and decorations. As Marsha stated.. TASTE means more than looks!!

A man found a bottle washed upon the shore. When he opened it a genie popped out who gave him three wishes. He wished for a million dollars and poof... there was a million dollars. Then he wished for a convertible and poof... there was a convertible. Lastly, he wished he could be irresistible to all women and poof... he turned into a box of chocolates.. (Truth hurts)

A little chocolate covered candied orange peel...

My all-time favorite chocolate cupcake WITH chocolate Magnolia butter cream frosting WITH a fluffy marshmallow filling!!

And Ladies, don't let anyone try to tell you differently when you are picking out that favorite candy bar....

Thank you Marsha for hosting this tasty event..now off to check all the chocolaty creations....

Well I sure hope there is chocolate in heaven! Barb you are a hoot - of course size matters. I only buy the big bars, my favorite is dark chocolate with hazelnuts.

Love your Christmas trees! Did you use a mold? Great post, you funny gal!

Debbie - I should have mentioned the shape of the trees. I got the idea from Marysol and used paper water cooler cones sprayed with buttered flavored Pam...

(My poppy seed cakes were a different recipe than Marysols))

LMAO! Size matters! Best post yet, Barb! and your trees look delicious.

I'll be back later with a smartass comment, LOL, I can't think now. You have me speechless once again!

yes, her trees are ok size wise, LOL! How does one eat a tree? hmmmmm.

Sounds like a great idea to me! Very few things can't be improved by a coat of chocolate.

My goodness I almost spilled my morning coffee on the laptop laughing so much at your chocolate wisdom! I just love your sense of humor :)

The chocolate trees are little works of art and the white one with little gold dragees is almost too pretty to eat so I think I'll take the chocolate cupcake with the marsha-mallow filling...sounds like it was made for me, LOL!

Thank you for joining in the chocolate party, your photos and wisdom are fantastic!

The first picture I saw with your "National Chocolate Covered Anything Day" title was the dog at the top. Uh oh. I was scared to scroll down.

Barb, what a fun post! The cupcake has me drooling, and I'm now craving one EXACTLY like yours ... especially the filling and frosting.

Cute trees, like the idea of water cooler cones ... My daughter loves orange and chocolate. She always ate those Terry's chocolate oranges that you hit and it broke into slices. I think that now she is an adult that she would enjoy your candied orange peel.

Love those little trees..where can you find those cones?? And then how do you bake them,in Madonna's bra?? really???
And you aren't going to Heaven unless you change your ways, Missy! :)
