Best Apple Crisp...

Just a quick break from my fall cupcakes.. with all the apples, I needed to make THE BEST APPLE CRISP recipe from all time.  The recipe is from none other than... BETTY CROCKER!!!

I really don't think you can beat this recipe, and of course make sure you double the topping.  You can find the recipe HERE..   I used Honey Crisp apples this time - usually I use the Granny Smith since I like a little tartness.  The Honey Crisp apples turned out very nice, it would really be a toss up as to which one I think is better.

A few photos of some of the last of my fall flowers...

Last but certainly not least...

Happy 2nd Anniversary Nick & Carrie
(my baby boy)

Thanks for Stopping By.....

So you are a tart?
Your crisp looks amazing, Barb! I still have some Jonagolds left, I'll make your recipe.

Happy Anniversary to Nick and Carrie!

I have to chuckle every time I look at that adorable header photo. Just too cute for words.

What a luscious crisp! Honeycrisps are so spendy here that I'll go with the Granny Smiths. Thanks for the recipe. I've been looking to replace the one I have.

Looks good, Barb. I don't use a recipe, but I like to mix a few diff kinds of apples.
Happy Anniversary to your baby boy! :)

What a delicious looking apple crisp, Barb! Once again, your topping skills are so good. That little puff of whipped cream is beautiful! Pass a fork!

Happy anniversary to Nick and Carrie!

After following the link to the BC recipe I just have to tell you that your apple crisp looks so much more appetizing! Wish I had a piece :) I love that it makes a smaller batch since sometimes I can't leave that stuff alone - will try it with some of the honeycrisps I just bought today.

Your fall mums are still gorgeous too!

Happy Anniversary Nick & Carrie! I remember when you posted a family photo at the wedding and it was the first time I saw a photo of you :)

Enjoy autumn!

As long as I can have ice cream on top, I'll try all versions!

I make my apple crisp with Granny Smith's too. I saw your recipe for the cupcakes, they look yummy. Last week I made spice cupcakes with a cream cheese filling, tinted orange for Halloween and frosted with buttercream frosting with a hint of cinnamon. I can never get enough cinnamon. I should put the recipe up on my blog, it's a great cupcake for Halloween time.
