Mosaic Monday - Christmas That Never Was

Sadly, our family Christmas this year was cancelled due to the 15-20" of snow we received beginning on the 24th, then the lovely 35-40 mph winds! I will be particularly glad when this year is finally over!

I was still able to enjoy the Christmas decorations and love looking at all the lights and ornaments. Quite a few years back a local gal made me a Father Christmas. She did a beautiful job and the "fur" she used was from a very OLD rabbit fur coat I once had.

A Final look back of Christmas 2009... (Click on the mosaics to enlarge)

Joining Mary at the Little Red House for Mosaic Monday... Be sure to check out her blog for some beautiful mosaics!

Oh my gosh, as a certified Santa collector I am in love with this fellow. What a great job she did.

I'm sorry about Christmas with your family, Barb! You really got bombarded! Ours is all gone already! Your Christmas mosaic is really pretty!

Will you be having it another day with your family anyway?

Father Christmas is amazing, what a talent!

Darned weather! I'm so sorry about your Christmas this year, Barb. I think the weather affected many plans for spending the holiday with their families.

What a beautiful Santa and I love your Christmas mosaic.

If the 30 in we got last Sunday came this week it would have been the same story here..And I do recall last year here preparing a big dinner party that never happened due to a snow storm!
I hope the boys got to come anyway!
Here's to a better year for you dear friend!
Beautiful Santa!

Barb, what an awesome Santa! My favorite picture in the mosaic is the center one :-) I know you will reflect back on Christmas 2009 next year during the holidays. Take lots of snow pictures!

Wishing you a better year ahead, and may 2010 bring you much cheer!

Sorry about you having to cancel Christmas----I didn't get the memo.

Lovely mosaic.

What a super Father Christmas. I have several but nothing compared to yours. He is a beaut. MB

Barb, I can definitely understand why you want the year over with. Next year WILL be better. How crummy to have to cancel Christmas. After driving to our daughter's for Christmas and seeing all the wrecks along the way, I did question our judgement but fortunately it all worked out. (But we also didn't get as much snow as as you.)

Love Father Christmas ... do the cats mind the rabbit fur?

We had the same weather problems last year. Most of the family lives within a 20 mile radius and we all were trapped in our houses over Christmas. So disappointing. Next year will definitely be better.

What a very beautiful, special Santa.

What a lovely christmas collage! Love it :)

I've just cleaned and packed down at Christmas, a bit sad but now it is almost time for spring!

Have a nice day :)
