When Lori E from My Family Tree May Contain Nuts had her Blogoversary giveaway earlier this month I knew I had to have one of these books. Lori offered a voucher to print your blog in a soft or hard cover book from Blog2Print. Even though I didn't win the giveaway (sniff..sniff) I ordered one to commerate my first year of blogging.
Sorry about the quality of the photos - the book has a sheen to it and I just couldn't get them to turn out the way I wanted. Be assured the printing is top notch and all the photos are crystal clear in the book.
There is a variety of choices you can have for your cover in design and color.... you add the title and your cover photo. It is your choice as to how many posts to want printed. My decision was to have the entire year printed from my very first post. You can choose to even add the comments if you wish..but since that would make the book over 200 pages I skipped the comments!
You also can put a photo on the back of the book..couldn't decide what to use at first... then "DUH!" I put my avitar that I use for my profile, which is a very young photo of me!
There is only around a $10 difference between the soft and hard cover, but I opted to go with the soft cover since I really didn't know how the book would turn out. Now that I do, I think i would have spent the extra $$$ to go with a hardcover. Don't get me wrong - I am thoroughly happy with the soft cover.
There is also the option to write a dedication, which I did...reminding me why I got into blogging in the first place. At the back of the book there is a portion called "My Pages" which you can add more photos. I had photos printed of some of my closest blogging friends. Sorry no photos of those two options... now ladies, some things are private!!
I was pleasantly surprised in the quick turnaround...I ordered this on February 18th! Which by the way, on the spine of the book is your name and the date you ordered. The book arrived on February 27th..packaged extremely well.
Thanks "Lori E"
for steering me toward the great link to Blog2Print...I will more than likely do another one for next year!

Barb, such a great idea. I'd not heard of Blog2Print.
What a wonderful memento for your first year of blogging. It looks quite well done and substantial. Have you shown it to your boys?
I think that you made the perfect choice for the photo on the back. That is a precious picture; I love how you're holding your hands.
Congratulations again on your first year of blogging ... now all included in a wonderful, very personal book.
Wow! What a great idea and thanks for sharing it, Barb! I love how yours turned out! The quality of print and color looks very good.
That is great! I forgot you won that.
It looks really good..a perfect momento of your first year!
To answer Cynthia - my oldest looked at it today and asked if they were all getting one for a Christmas present! LOL - he was joking!
Kathleen - I didn't win it - I just ordered one for myself.
Barb-I have been thinking about doing this too. I am so glad to hear your report and that you are pleased with it. About the grandchildren--I will wrap up my little furry shih tzu grandbaby in that blanket if I have to :)
G'eve, Barb ~ TY I had not heard of this & have wondered how to do it.
This will help ...
Have a wonderful week.

Wow! What a great idea! I might have to do that myself! Thanks for the tip! Happy week!...Debbie
What a wonderful way to celebrate your first year of blogging. I love this idea and bet my children would like a copy too. Thanks for the info and link, Barb. I'm going to check it out.
What a wonderful way to celebrate your first anniversary - did you do your book by blog anniversary date or by calendar year? I have been working on putting my blog in book form and the site I used formatted it in a way that I didn't like so I never ordered the books. I am going to try blog2print next - thank you for the suggestion.
That is so great Barb. I am glad you like it so much. I didn't want to recommend something and then have things go wrong. Lol.
You really put some thought into this book and I am sure you will enjoy it for years not to mention the genealogical treasure it will be.
