FLASHBACK FRIDAY - Monkey Bread

I'm joining my good friend, Suzy at Kitchen Bouquet, for her Flashback Friday.  Stop by her blog to link to others reminiscing past recipes!

There are hundreds of recipes out there for monkey bread, made a variety of ways with just as many different ingredients.  My recipe is one my Mom made quite often, not just for Sunday mornings.  I like to make it on Saturday morning..something to "snack" on as you start the day.  This is such a simple and quick recipe, start to finish in no time at all!

Quick Caramel Rolls - Monkey Bread

1 stick butter
¾ Cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp  water
2 cans Buttermilk biscuits

Cut biscuits into ⅓’s into a bundt pan. Melt butter, add brown sugar, vanilla & water. Pour butter mixture over biscuits.

Bake a 350 for 30 minutes. Turn out on plate and serve hot.

Optional: Place chopped nuts of your choice in the bottom of the bundt pan before you place the cut-up biscuits... pecans are wonderful with it!

I'm also linking to Foodie Friday with Gollum... a link to some fantastic recipes!

Barb, your blog is so pretty and springy-looking. ... I don't think that I've ever had monkey bread. It looks very tasty AND sticky (in a good way). :)

I love monkey bread. Unfortunately, my metabolism has slowed so that we can only have it once or twice a year. I really like your recipe.
